Things I've Learned in 2015

How is it almost 2016? This year seems to have gone by so fast! You know I say that every year yet am always surprised that years end. For my last post of 2015 I wanted to round off with some stuff I've learned over the past year. One of the main things I've found out is that I am not down for soppy emotional things, so I added some funny gifs and wrote a list of realistic stuff I have learned about myself! -

Amy Watches - Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Minor Spoilers)

When I heard there was a new Star Wars being released I had no idea what to expect. I hadn't seen any of the previous ones but after one hell of a movie marathon I was all caught up and excited for a cinema trip to watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens! Here are some thoughts I had whilst watching -

The Christmas Tag

Merry Christmas! Christmas is my favourite holiday, my whole family gets pretty into it. Our motto is "go hard or go home" and Christmas is the one day we go hardest (that's what she said). So I though hey what better than to do the Christmas Tag on Christmas Day! Well ok technically it's still a couple days until Christmas while I'm writing this but it's that thought that counts right?

Amy Watches - Star Wars

Ok, first up I just want to say this is probably going to be a pretty long post because I'm reviewing the six original Star Wars movies. Also I feel like since the films have been out for almost 40 years now I don't need to put 'Spoilers' in the title, but just in case - there are a few spoilers in this review!

Christmas Jumper Wishlist

I love everything about Christmas but there is not much that can beat a good Christmas jumper! While I am a huge fan of the classic cheesy jumper, this year my list seems to have transformed into a collection of the nerdiest ones I could find!

Amy Watches - Jessica Jones (Minor Spoilers)

When I heard that Marvel was releasing a new female led superhero series on Netflix about a girl with super strength, I was pretty friggin excited! Netflix series always seem to be amazing and I love anything Marvel so as soon as Jessica Jones was released me and my sister sat down and marathoned the entire thing! Here's some thoughts I had whilst watching -

Nerdy Nails - Game Of Thrones Dragon Eggs

For this weeks Nerdy Nails I wanted to do something Game of Thrones related and after seeing some mermaid scales inspiration I decided to do Dragon egg nails! This design can be a little tricky (especially if your trying to film doing it at the same time!) so I recommend setting aside some time and going as slow as you need to.

Lipstick Haul

Wearing lipstick has never really appealed to me for multiple reasons; they always seem too expensive, there's a big risk of smudging, and (most importantly) it hinders my eating ability. That was until I saw Makeup Revolution and it's new sister brand, Freedom's lip product range.

Amy Watches - Ant-Man (Minor Spoilers)

Ok, so I have actually already seen this movie but when someone asks you if you want to see Ant-Man again you don't say no! I already love this film for the pure fact that it's made by Marvel and I loved it even more the second time around! So, here are my thoughts from my second viewing -

Hair To DYE For

My personal hair dye journey began when I was about 14 and I had the amazing idea to dye my strawberry blonde hair brown. Not knowing much about hair dye I bought a box entitled 'chocolate brown' and pasted it all over my head. Cut to 1 hour, 1 shower, and a lot of worrying later and my hair was a beautiful chocolate, reddy...browney...ok - it was purple.

My Month // October

October's been a great month. I got to go to a local fair, I managed to start my Christmas shopping early, and I got mentioned by one of my favourite Youtubers, Jacksfilms, in his live show (which I'm still freaking out about). Here's some stuff that's made my month extra special -

MARVEL-ous Pumpkins

I love Halloween. I love pretty much any big holiday - Christmas is my bae. (My holibae. Get it? I'll see myself out). I love dressing up, I love the sweets, and I love pumpkin carving! Every year me, my brother and my sister will sit down and carve out some spooky faces but last year we took it one step further and held ourselves a competition. That's when I decided to pull out the big guns...well big knives...well small knives actually - pumpkin carving knives - and combine Halloween with nerdiness to slice up my winning Game of Thrones pumpkin!
